Baseball sees five capture All-Region nods

Winebrenner, Burroughs tabbed as consensus First-Team All-Region

SALISBURY, Md. – Five members of the seventh-ranked Salisbury University baseball team took home All-Region 5 honors from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings and D3baseball.com on Tuesday morning.

Catcher Dylan Winebrenner and outfielder Noah Burroughs each earned consensus First-Team All-Region accolades; pitcher Tyler Villa was named a First-Teamer by ABCA and a Second-Teamer by D3baseball.com; third baseman Jackson Inman garnered Third-Team honors from ABCA; and pitcher Aidan Brinsfield took home a Third-Team nods from D3baseball.com.

Winebrenner (Sr. – Frederick, Md.) adds another year's worth of regional hardware to his D3baseball.com All-Region Third Team nod last season. Over 44 games (43 starts) for the year, he slashed .356/.444/.655 with 14 doubles, four triples, 10 home runs, 54 RBIs, 49 runs scored, eight stolen bases, and a team-best 1.099 OPS; he also threw out two-thirds of all would-be base stealers (10-of-15) behind the dish. Winebrenner produced just the 14th double-digit homer season in Sea Gull history and finished the year tied for 11th in single-season dingers, RBIs, and total bases (114).

Burroughs (Fr. – Millsboro, Del.) started all 44 games this season en route to becoming one of the region's top rookies. He led SU with a .384 batting average, posting a slash line of .384/.436/.655 with 13 doubles, four triples, nine homers, 57 RBIs, 48 runs, a team-best 15 steals, and a 1.091 OPS. Burroughs' 57 rib-eyes are tied for fifth-most in single-season Sea Gull history, and his 116 total bases are tied for seventh-most.

Villa (Jr. – Marlboro, N.J.) is an All-Region honoree for the first time after emerging as the ace of the Sea Gull staff. He made a team-high 14 starts (15 appearances) on the bump, going 7-1 with a 2.96 ERA, 35 walks, and 44 strikeouts over a team-leading 70 innings. Villa became the first SU qualified starter to post a sub-3.00 ERA in three years.

Inman (Fr. – Damascus, Md.) seized control of the hot corner and started all but one game there for the season. He slashed .353/.464/.608 with 10 doubles, four triples, seven homers, 44 RBIs, 41 runs scored, six steals, and a 1.072 OPS. Inman was one of four Sea Gull regulars to post a season OPS north of 1.000, joining Winebrenner, Burroughs, and Danny Sheeler.

Brinsfield [So. – Salisbury, Md. (Parkside)] grew into one of Salisbury's most consistent starting arms on the way to the first All-Region nod of his career. Over 13 starts, he went 5-0 with a 3.29 ERA, one complete game and shutout, 22 walks, and a team-high 67 strikeouts over 63 innings. With his second career shutout on the books, Brinsfield is just the 11th documented pitcher with multiple clean sheets for SU and is two off the all-time program record.

Thanks in large part to the contributions of these five, Salisbury finished the 2025 season with a 34-10 record, winning its fourth Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) championship in five seasons and earning a fifth straight NCAA Regional title.
