SALISBURY, Md. –
Krista Brosius of the Salisbury University women's golf team made history on Wednesday by earning the
program's first Colonial Women's Golf Conference (CWGC) Golfer of the Week award.
Brosius (Fr. – Magnolia, Del.) posted the Sea Gulls' top individual score at the Bridgewater Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, shooting a 24-over 168 with three birdies over two rounds at Lakeview Golf Course on the way to a 20th-place finish. After carding a 15-over 87 in round one, she shaved six strokes off her second round total of a nine-over 81, just two strokes off her personal record of 79.
Through four rounds over three tournaments thus far, Brosius is averaging a team-best 82.5 strokes per round with one top-five individual finish. She currently boasts the best two-round score and top two single-round cards in the modern era of Salisbury women's golf (since 2024).
Brosius and the Sea Gulls will return to the links on Oct. 14-15 at the Alvernia Invitational, which will be held at Bulle Rock Golf Club in Havre de Grace, Md.
