Men’s, Women’s Lacrosse stay steady in top three

SALISBURY, Md. – Presenting Roadie Joes Rankings for the second Wednesday in February, featuring top-15 positioning for Salisbury men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women's swimming, and men's track & field.
 
Men's Lacrosse – 2nd | USILA Division III Top 20, Feb. 16
Salisbury stayed steady at the No. 2 slot with 494 points and three first-place votes, with only Tufts (515, 23 first-place) holding better standing. The rest of the top five (Christopher Newport, RIT, Bowdoin) remained unchanged.
 
The Sea Gulls put up another strong early-season performance with a 20-3 win at Scranton on Saturday. Connor Herraiz led the offense with eight points (two goals, six assists), while Blake Malamphy scooped up 10 ground balls and netted two goals of his own.
 
SU hosts 10th-ranked Gettysburg on Saturday at 1 p.m., beginning a 10-game homestand inside Sea Gull Stadium that lasts through Apr. 4.
 
Women's Lacrosse – 3rd | USA Lacrosse Magazine Division III Top 20, Feb. 16
Salisbury held tight to No. 3 in the top media poll, sitting behind Middlebury and Tufts and ahead of Franklin & Marshall and Gettysburg in the top five.
 
The Sea Gulls recorded a pair of eight-goal road victories to open the season, topping Stevenson 13-5 on Wednesday and Catholic 17-9 on Saturday. Avery Dunbar scored four goals and dished out seven assists over the two contests to win Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) Offensive Player of the Week honors.
 
SU plays its first home game on Sunday, hosting 11th-ranked Washington & Lee in its Face-Off Against Cancer game. Opening draw control from Sea Gull Stadium is slated for 12 p.m.
 
Men's Swimming – 10th | Swimcloud Division III Championship Meet Rankings
Salisbury clocked in with 660.12 points in the organization's championship metrics, landing between No. 9 MIT (664.59) and No. 11 Johns Hopkins (653.80).
 
The Sea Gulls finished second at the 2026 New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Swimming & Diving Championships over the weekend, logging 1,319 team points and 12 total medals (one gold, eight silver, three bronze). Dominic Kazzi won SU's lone gold medal at the meet in the 100 breast, while Cameron Byrd had a hand in six silver medals.
 
Salisbury will send qualifiers to the NCAA Division III Championships on Mar. 18-21 in Indianapolis; the field will be announced at a later date.
 
Women's Swimming – 11th | Swimcloud Division III Championship Meet Rankings
Salisbury notched 619.30 points in the championship metrics, sitting just below the top 10 and 10th-ranked Carnegie Mellon (623.51) and above 12th-ranked Colby (617.83).
 
The Sea Gulls rolled to back-to-back NJAC Swimming & Diving Championships over the weekend with a dominant 1,635-point performance. Rowan O'Donoghue won five gold medals and two silver to become SU's most decorated women's swimmer at a conference championship meet; additional multi-gold winners included Olivia Polucha, Lily Griffin, and Mackenzie Gula.
 
Following a last-chance meet on Saturday, SU will see national qualifiers advance to the NCAA Championships on Mar. 18-21 in Indianapolis.
 
Men's Track & Field – 13th | USTFCCCA Indoor Track & Field Rating Index, Feb. 17
Salisbury stood pat at 13th with 43.08 points, sitting between No. 12 TCNJ (47.01) and No. 14 John Carroll (41.97).
 
Following an idle week, the Sea Gulls will go for their first indoor league championship since 2019 at the C2C Indoor Championships on Friday and Saturday in Newport News, Va., on the campus of CNU.
