SALISBURY, Md. – This is "Nest to Nest," a regular series spotlighting the big miles and bigger stories of the Sea Gull student-athletes on each team who traveled the farthest to be at Salisbury University. This week,
Hayden Adams of SU women's track & field takes us to a coastal New England town that could be New Hampshire's answer to Maryland's Ocean City.

What would you say your hometown is known for?
I would say my hometown is very much known for our beaches. We have a very big beach, Hampton Beach, and it's a very large tourist area. I actually work at a fishing company back home, and we get a lot of business during the summer.
What's your favorite hometown hangout spot?
Probably
KB's Bagels and Java, it's this really cool space right on the coast. They have good acai bowls and bagels and stuff like that.
Which local sports teams do you root for?
Mostly the Boston teams, especially the Bruins and the Celtics.
How did you hear about Salisbury University?
I really wanted to go somewhere warmer. Originally I enrolled as an Elementary Education major, and SU had a very good program for that, but I just recently switched to Finance, and it turns out the business school here is really good too, so it worked out really well.
What's the biggest difference between life in your hometown and life here in Salisbury?
Mainly the size of the town – back home it's a very small town, and this is a lot bigger. There's a lot more people, but I really enjoy that. Plus I'm a 15-minute walk from the beach back home so it's nice to be close to the beach here too.
What's something you can turn to that reminds you of your hometown on the days when you miss it?
I would say either going to the beach or just taking a drive, anything like that. There aren't many hills or mountains around here, so it's a little difficult when it comes to that, but going to the beach helps.
How would you sell someone on visiting your hometown?
We have really good lobster rolls! And the fishing and camping is really good, and a lot of people enjoy hiking on the little mountains that we have.
