Women’s Golf slots fourth at Stevenson Inv’l

UPPERCO, Md. – The Salisbury University women's golf team registered a top-half finish by slotting fourth at the Stevenson Invitational on Monday at Piney Branch Golf Club.
 
The Sea Gulls carded an 89-over 373 as a team, taking fourth place in the field of 10 teams between third-place York (Pa.) [358] and fifth-place Juniata (394).
 
ROUND NOTES
  • Sydney Lynott earned a top-five finish with a 17-over 88, good for a tie for fifth among the individual lot of 54 golfers.
  • Krista Brosius tied for seventh with an 18-over 89, good for the eighth top-10 finish of her rookie season.
  • Emma Wivell took 18th with a 22-over 93 on the day.
  • Cailin McCoy shot a 32-over 103, good for 28th, while Victoria Heid finished right behind in a tie for 29th at 33-over 104.
 
The Sea Gulls will wrap up their spring season in familiar surroundings at the inaugural Sea Gull Invitational, set to be held on Saturday and Sunday at Green Hill Country Club in Quantico. Tee time for the women on Saturday is scheduled for 11:10 a.m., with Sunday's shotgun start pegged for 9 a.m.
