Cross Country, Track & Field programs earn 12 CSC Academic All-District honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. - The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Cross Country/Track & Field teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom. The Salisbury University Cross Country and Track & Field Program tallied 12 members on the list, six from the women's programs and six from the men's.

Anna Bodmer, from Dickerson, Md., an English major, achieved a remarkable GPA of 3.870. She placed 10th at the NCAA Mid Atlantic Regional Championships and 138th at the NCAA National Championships. Regionally, she ranked 19th in the 1500 meters, 4th in the 5000 meters, and 5th in the 10000 meters, while nationally, she was 26th in the 5000 meters.

Madi Sisson, a senior Elementary Education major from Downers Grove, Ill., maintained a GPA of 3.893. She finished 46th at the NCAA Mid Atlantic Regional Championships and ranked 50th in the 3000 meters, 44th in the 5000 meters, and 24th in the 10000 meters in the Mid Atlantic Region.

Emma Smyser, a sophomore from York, Pa., majoring in Elementary Education, achieved a GPA of 3.938. She placed 50th in the 400 meters and 21st in the Pole Vault in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

Peri Nelson, a junior Pre-Occupational Therapy/Chemistry major from Beallsville, Md., earned a GPA of 3.775 and ranked 33rd in the 800 meters in the Mid Atlantic Region.

Emma Christman, a senior in the Social Work (MSW) graduate program from Palmerton, Pa., achieved a GPA of 3.925. She ranked 12th in the Long Jump and 10th in the Triple Jump in the Mid Atlantic Region.

Kailey Jarboe, a senior Biology major from Eldersburg, Md., had a GPA of 3.762 and ranked 36th in the Shot Put, 35th in the Discus, and 36th in the Hammer in the Mid Atlantic Region.

Austen Cave, a graduate student from Delmar, DE., majoring in Personal Financial Management, earned a GPA of 3.917. He placed 24th at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships and ranked 30th in the 3000 meters and 16th in the 5000 meters regionally.

Jon Alicea, a senior Psychology major from Deer Park, N.Y., achieved a GPA of 3.589. He ranked 2nd in the Triple Jump, 28th in the Long Jump in the Mid Atlantic Region, and 35th nationally in the Triple Jump.

Cormac Moroney, a sophomore Informatics major with a Spanish minor from New Market, Md., maintained a GPA of 3.842. He ranked 5th in the Mile, 36th in the 3000 meters, and 12th in the Distance Medley Relay in the Mid Atlantic Region, and placed 26th at the NCAA Mid Atlantic Regional Championships.

Justin Freeman, a sophomore Elementary Education major from Bear, DE., earned a GPA of 3.667. He ranked 8th in the 800 meters and 12th in the Distance Medley Relay in the Mid Atlantic Region.

Hayden Myers, a senior Information Systems major from Shady Side, Md., had a GPA of 3.597. He ranked 39th in the 400 meters, 12th in the Distance Medley Relay, and 3rd in the 4x400 meter relay in the Mid Atlantic Region.

Gabe Riling, a sophomore Chemistry-Bio mathematics major from Sabillasville, Md., achieved a GPA of 3.789 and placed 38th at the NCAA Mid Atlantic Regional Championships.

An undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale). A graduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as both an undergraduate and a grad student unless they are in their first semester as a graduate student and don't have an established graduate GPA. Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically.

Cross Country athletes must earn a Top-50 individual performance at the NCAA regional competition during the current academic year, and track athletes must earn a Top-50 regional ranking in a single event (indoor or outdoor).
