Box Score

RALEIGH, N.C. - The Salisbury University women's basketball team continued its winning streak this afternoon as the Sea Gulls took down Salem College, 61-42, in the second and final day of the Jackie Ammons Memorial Tournament hosted by Peace College.

Senior Kylie Hall (Baltimore, Md.), who led the Sea Gulls (2-0) to a 10-point victory against Peace College yesterday afternoon, continued her hot streak as she posted her first double-double of the season. The forward netted 13 points while scooping up 14 rebounds; for her efforts, she was named the All-Tournament MVP.

Junior guard Chante' McKinney (Gaithersburg, Md.) also had a stellar weekend, as she was named to the All-Tournament team. Additionally, sophomore guard Glen Charlton (Landover, Md.) contributed to the Gulls' cause with 13 points. The maroon and gold's back-to-back wins gave them the tournament win.

The Sea Gulls fell behind in the first half, trailing Salem 21-25. Salisbury shot out of the gates in the second half, outscoring Salem (2-1) a staggering 40-17 to take the win by almost 20 points. Salisbury saw seven different players score in the victory.

Salisbury will come home for its next contest, squaring off against Capital Athletic Conference foe Hood College on Dec. 2. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
