Box Score STEVENSON, Md. - The Salisbury University
women's basketball team celebrated Valentine's Day on Saturday with
a 61-48 road win over Capital Athletic Conference foe Stevenson
University. The win is the fourth straight for the Sea Gulls, who
have won seven of their last nine games, as they head into the
final week of the regular season.
Salisbury (8-15, 8-6 CAC) trailed once in the game, albeit
briefly in the first half, before the Sea Gulls pulled away from
the Mustangs (5-18, 3-11 CAC). Stevenson took its only lead, 6-5,
with 13:43 left before halftime. SU responded with a dominating
26-5 run to take a 31-11 lead into intermission.
The Sea Gulls were led offensively by reigning CAC Co-Player of
the Week Kylie Hall. The junior forward recorded
her eighth double-double for the season as she scored 19 points and
grabbed 10 rebounds, both game-highs. Hall has reached double point
figures in the past six games where she is averaging 16 points per

Chante McKinney scored 11 points, grabbed four
rebounds and has two assists and steals. Freshman Katharine
Curran scored 10 points as junior Janay
Johnson and freshman Meghan Dunn scored
eight points each.
SU led throughout the second half even though Stevenson
outscored the maroon and gold, 37-30. The Sea Gulls held a two
rebound advantage over the Mustangs, 35-33. Stevenson was led by
Qiana Coleman's 12 points. The win gives SU the clean sweep of
Stevenson this season, who last met on January 19 where the Sea
Gulls won at home 56-52.
