SALISBURY, Md. - On Saturday, April 21, the No. 1-ranked Salisbury University men's lacrosse team will be hosting its Lax for Leukemia game.
At the game, the Sea Gulls will have a silent auction with items ranging from gift cards to a custom made shadow box, crafted by Salisbury Strength and Conditioning Coordinator Matt Nein, with four Salisbury lacrosse helmets displayed inside.
Along with dozens of items to bid on, there will be a limited amount of Lax for Leukemia shirts for sale at the game. All proceeds will go to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the National Marrow Donor Program.
The lacrosse team will also have a tent set up to hand out pamphlets and raise awareness about leukemia.
The players will be wearing special lax for leukemia uniforms that have orange outlining the maroon numbers on white jerseys.
All Salisbury fans are encouraged to show their support and "rock the orange" for this game.
This year's game will coincide with the War on the Shore game as Salisbury takes on Washington College in a battle for the Charles B. Clark cup. The Sea Gulls have won the cup for nine-consecutive years dating back to a 17-12 victory over the Shoremen on May 3, 2003.
