SALISBURY, Md. - The first-seeded and third-ranked Salisbury University men's lacrosse team hosts the fourth-seeded St. Mary's Seahawks in the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) Tournament Semifinals on Wednesday, May 5.

HOW WE GOT HERE
- Salisbury ended its regular season with an 11-1 overall record and 4-0 in C2C play.
- The Sea Gulls collected 11 consecutive wins and collected double-digit points in all 12 regular-season games.
- The maroon and gold has notched an average of 20.25 goals per game and has tallied 243 goals this season along with 123 assists.
- To earn top-billing in the C2C Tournament, Salisbury collected a win over Mary Washington and a pair of victories over CNU, St. Mary's and Southern Virginia.
HOW THEY GOT HERE
- The Seahawks finished out their season with a 3-9 overall record and 1-5 in conference play.
- To take the fourth seed, St. Mary's collected a win over Mary Washington.
SCOUTING THE SEAHAWKS
- Jude Brown leads the Seahawks with 39 points off 19 goals and 20 assists. Brown has scooped up 19 ground balls and caused a turnover.
- Abe Hubbard and Dominic Venanzi pace the scoring for St. Mary's. Venanzi tallied 34 points off of 26 goals and eight assists while Hubbard collected 32 points off 27 goals and five assists.
- Tommy Rinder, Ethan Little, and Anthony Sparacino lock down the defense for the blue and gold. Rinder caused 16 turnovers for the opposing teams this season while Little and Sparacino each caused 11.
- DJ Walker ranks fourth in the C2C with 106 saves and third in the conference with a 47.1 save percentage.

- Cross Ferrara led Salisbury with five goals and an assist. Jarrett Bromwell picked up a pair of goals and an assist.
- Brett Malamphy picked up a game-high eight ground balls and won 14-of-21 faceoffs.
- Kevin Murphy and Bromwell scooped up four ground balls and caused a turnover each.
- Brad Apgar caused three errors for the Seahawks while Jackson Woodward tallied two caused turnovers.
- In net, T.J. Ellis stopped 10 shots.
- Salisbury scooped up 29 ground balls compared to St. Mary's 22.
THE 2021 SEA GULLS
The Offense
- Cross Ferrara dominated the offense this season with 61 goals and 14 assists for 75 points on the year. Ferrara holds the number two spot in the C2C in goals, points and in shots.
- With 38 assists this season, Josh Melton sits second in the conference and fourth in points with 66 points.
- Griffin Moroney tabbed 33 points off of 26 goals and seven assists in 2021. Moroney has also grabbed 17 ground balls and caused five turnovers.
The Midfield
- Taking the midfield by storm, Jarrett Bromwell earned 52 points from 45 goals and seven assists. Bromwell sits third in goals in the conference.
- Brett Malamphy has a 73.9 faceoff win percentage from 147-of-199 at the X. Malamphy has grabbed team-high 89 ground balls.
- John DeFazio has scooped up 36 ground balls in his debut season with the Sea Gulls. Defazio has caused 13 turnovers and collected a goal with a pair of assists.
- Jackson Woodward picked up 27 ground balls and caused 11 turnovers. He has also added four assists and a pair of goals.
The Defense
- Salisbury's defense has totaled 501 ground balls and caused 142 turnovers. The Salisbury defense has allowed only 85 goals in 2021, which is the lowest in the C2C.
- Kevin Murphy has caused a team-high 20 errors for Salisbury with 33 ground balls, Murphy has also tallied a pair of goals and an assist.
- Brad Apgar has caused 18 turnovers for the Salisbury opponent. A cornerstone for the Sea Gull defense, Apgar has scooped up 25 ground balls.
Weekly Honors
- Salisbury was represented on the C2C Player of the Week awards five out of the nine weeks of the award.
- Cross Ferrara earned C2C offensive honors in back-to-back weeks on March 15 and 22, Kevin Murphy and Jarrett Bromwell earned weekly honors on March 29 while John DeFazio and Bromwell picked up weekly awards on April 5. Josh Melton and Murphy swept weekly awards again on April 19.
- Both Ferrara and Bromwell earned USILA/Dynamic Team of the week honors back-to-back, landing the maroon and gold on the list for four consecutive weeks.

The winner of Wednesday's game will move on to the C2C Championship on Saturday, May 8 and play the winner of the other semifinal matchup between Christopher Newport and Southern Virginia with the highest seed hosting the championship game.
