Women’s Soccer lands six on CSC Academic All-District squad

GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Salisbury University women's soccer team saw six student-athletes recognized as College Sports Communicators (CSC) NCAA Division III Academic All-District selections, with forward Alex Jankowski, midfielders Kristen Ging, Olivia Pasko, Katy Poltrack, and Tori Pietuszka, and defender Rebecca Fairbanks landing on the team as announced by the organization on Tuesday.

Ging, a senior from La Plata, Md. and the reigning Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) Scholar-Athlete of the Year, carries a 3.90 GPA as an Accounting major with a minor in Enterprise Information Systems. She has made the Dean's List in every semester of her SU tenure, earning three C2C All-Academic nods and placement in the Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honor Society. She also earned the Perdue School of Business Calafiura Scholarship and the PCAOB Scholar's Award.

On the pitch, Ging earned her second all-conference nod after dishing out a career-high four assists across 18 starts. Ging finishes her Sea Gull career with seven goals and seven assists in 70 career appearances.

Jankowski, a junior from Baltimore, Md., boasts a 3.79 grade-point average as a Business Marketing major. She has made the Dean's List in her first four completed semesters at SU.

Jankowski logged her fifth career goal and started all 18 matches in 2024, recording 1,149 minutes of action this season. Through three seasons, Jankowski has logged 16 points in over 3,600 career minutes.

Pasko, a junior from New Freedom, Pa., has earned a 3.85 GPA as an International Business and Marketing double major with a minor in Spanish. She is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma and Beta Alpha Psi Honor Societies, making Dean's List every semester at SU while working as a student-mentor at Pinehurst Elementary School and a volunteer youth soccer coach.

Pasko picked up her first career assist in 2024, logging 241 minutes off the Sea Gull bench. She has appeared in 39 matches with five starts and nearly 800 career minutes across three seasons.

Poltrack, a senior from Annandale, N.J., touts a 3.92 GPA as an Elementary Education major at Salisbury. She has earned Dean's List placement in every semester at SU and landed on the C2C All-Academic teams in 2022 and 2023.

On the pitch, Poltrack put a team-high 21 shots on goal and logged nearly 1,300 minutes across 18 starts. She finishes her Sea Gull career with eight points on three goals and a pair of helpers, logging nearly 4,000 career minutes across 72 matches with 43 starts.

Pietuszka, a senior from Elkton, Md., holds a 3.84 GPA as a Health Sciences major at Salisbury. She earned induction into the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society, making Dean's List in five of her six semesters and being a three-time C2C All-Academic choice.

Pietuszka made all 18 starts in 2024, firing a career-high 10 shots and logging over 1,300 minutes of play to earn All-C2C Second Team honors. She finishes her Sea Gull career with three points on one goal and one assist while piling up over 5,500 minutes across 75 matches with 67 starts.

Fairbanks, a sophomore from Columbia, Md., has a 3.74 GPA as a Nursing major at Salisbury. She serves as Student Ambassador for the Clarke Honors College and holds membership in the Student Nurses Association and the Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society while working as a Supplemental Instruction Leader for SU's Center for Student Achievement, focusing on Anatomy and Physiology. She also joins her team in volunteering for the Wicomico County Humane Society and the Salvation Army.

Fairbanks netted her first career goal in 2024, leading the team in minutes (1,561) for the second consecutive season. Across 35 career matches and 31 starts, Fairbanks has picked up four points on one goal and two assists while logging 2,931 minutes.

Jankowski, Ging, Pietuszka, and Poltrack all earned their second All-District selections after earning the honor in 2023, while Pasko and Fairbanks picked up their first spots on the squad.

The Academic All-District award, selected by CSC, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
