MANAHAWKIN, N.J. – The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) has released its full slate of 2023 academic honors, with the Salisbury University field hockey team raking in multiple accolades.
Four Sea Gulls were named
NFHCA Division III Scholars of Distinction. Senior
Elle Wood, junior
Emma Radebaugh, and freshmen
Sarah Hendricks and
Arden Hunteman each carried cumulative grade-point averages of at least 3.9 over the fall semester of the 2023-24. Wood becomes a four-time NFHCA Scholar of Distinction after boasting a 3.9 GPA during every season of her SU career.
In addition, 16 Sea Gulls were recognized on the
NFHCA National Academic Squad, sponsored by OPA Winning Teams, for recording 3.5 GPAs during the fall. Joining Wood, Radebaugh, Hendricks, and Hunteman on the squad are

Salisbury went 14-5 during the 2023 season and extended the NCAA's longest active streak with its 29th consecutive bid (38th overall) to the Division III National Tournament, advancing to the national quarterfinals for the second straight year.
