No. 8 Field Hockey post four NFHCA All-Region honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Co. — The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is honored to announce the 2025 NFHCA Division III All-Region teams sponsored by Apex Field Hockey. Division III teams are separated into six regions and each of these regions recognizes up to 16 student-athletes on both the first team and second teams.
 
The Sea Gulls posted four student-athletes on the Region III team. Kaitlyn DeModna, Madelyn Reed, Marli McDorman, and McKenna Horner earned the All-Region honors for the Salisbury University Field Hockey program.
 
DeModna, the Brewster, N.Y. native, posted nine goals with six assists, while starting all 22 games for the Sea Gulls. Three different times this year, she tallied multi-score games.
 
Reed, the Felton, Del. native, posted four goals with eight assists for a total of 16 points. She posted two game winners, leading one of the top mid-fields and defenses in the country, while also earning SUNYAC Defensive Player of the Year.
 
McDorman, the Pocomoke City, Md. native, tallied 18 goals this season along with 14 assists for a total of 50 points. She posted two hat-tricks on the year and four multi-score games. McDorman posted three game winners along with a .670 shooting percentage, while earning SUNYAC Offensive Player of the Year.
 
Horner, the Deal Island, Md. native, posted 16 goals and four assists, which included one hat trick and three multi-score games. She tallied 36 points and a shot on goal percentage of .672.

The NFHCA Division III All-Region team announcement is the first in a list of NFHCA postseason awards over the next several weeks. Next to be announced are the NFHCA Regional Players of the Year on December 11, followed by the NFHCA All-American teams on December 16 and the NFHCA National Player of the Year on December 18.

Salisbury University is a proud member of NCAA Division III with primary membership in the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference, along with affiliate membership in the New Jersey Athletic Conference (football, men's & women's swimming), Coastal Lacrosse Conference (men's lacrosse), State University of New York Athletic Conference (field hockey), and Colonial Women's Golf Conference (women's golf). With over 500 student-athletes in 23 varsity sports, SU is recognized as one of the nation's most competitive intercollegiate athletics programs regardless of division, featuring dedicated coaches and staff that foster excellence on and off the field. The Sea Gulls have won a combined 23 team national championships, 24 individual national championships, and 206 conference championships, and have produced 53 Academic All-Americans.
