Men’s Golf 10th following Bulle Rock opening round

HAVRE DE GRACE, Md. – The Salisbury University men's golf team positioned itself well to make second-round moves following round one of the Battle at Bulle Rock, hosted by Alvernia University on Tuesday afternoon at Bulle Rock Golf Club.
 
The Sea Gulls shot a 37-over 325 on the day, three strokes up on 11th-place Hood (328) and within striking distance of seventh-place Alvernia (321) and Juniata and Moravian (322) who tied for eighth.
 
ROUND NOTES
  • Alex Langford finished the day in the top 10 on the leaderboard, tying for seventh out of 68 with a four-over 76. Langford shot consistently throughout the round, birdying on par-four 16 and hitting par on 12 holes, including six straight from one through six.
  • Ryan Henneman shot one back of Langford with a five-over 77, tying for 11th. He birdied on eight and 15.
  • Colton Thomas clocked in with a 12-over 84, including a birdie on seven, to wrap the day tied for 48th.
  • Declan Gustavson tied for 60th with a 16-over 88, while Peter Carnegie posted SU's drop score with a 19-over 91, good for 66th.
 
The Sea Gulls will tee up for round two of the Battle at Bulle Rock on Wednesday morning at 10 a.m.
