HAVRE DE GRACE, Md. – The Salisbury University women's golf team put together the best round of any Division III team on the first day of the Battle at Bulle Rock, hosted by Alvernia University on Tuesday at Bulle Rock Golf Club.
The Sea Gulls posted a collective 67-over 355 on the day, good for second in the field of five teams and 10 strokes better than third-place Stevenson (365). Only Division II West Chester (325) had a better day than SU.
ROUND NOTES
- Krista Brosius carded a 13-over 85 for the round, entering the clubhouse ninth in the field of 31. Brosius shot par on seven holes for the day.
- Sydney Lynott placed 12th with a 16-over 88, including the Sea Gulls' only birdie for the day on par-three 12.
- Victoria Heid registered an 18-over 90, good for a tie for 13th after 18 holes of action.
- Emma Wivell clocked in 19th with a 20-over 92, while Addison Sage posted SU's drop score of a 33-over 105, good for 29th.
The Sea Gulls will look to make up ground with West Chester in the second and final round of the Battle at Bulle Rock on Wednesday morning at 10 a.m.
