Women’s Golf takes third at Bulle Rock

HAVRE DE GRACE, Md. – The Salisbury University women's golf team earned a third-place finish at the Battle at Bulle Rock, hosted by Alvernia University, after competing in the second of two rounds on Wednesday afternoon at Bulle Rock Golf Club.
 
The Sea Gulls shot an 85-over 373 on the day for a two-day total of a 152-over 728. SU finished third in the field of five teams, just behind second-place Stevenson (724) and ahead of fourth-place Southern Virginia (478).
 
ROUND NOTES
  • Krista Brosius shot a 17-over 89 for the day, including a birdie on the par-three third hole. Brosius' two-day card of a 30-over 174 was good for ninth in the field of 32 golfers.
  • Sydney Lynott posted a 21-over 93 on the day with a birdie on par-four 14. She placed 14th in the tournament with a 37-over 181.
  • Emma Wivell finished 18th individually, shooting a 24-over 96 for the day to wrap up at a 44-over 188.
  • Addison Sage shaved 10 strokes off her first-round performance, clocking in with a 23-over 95. She tied for 25th in the field with a 56-over 200.
  • Victoria Heid posted SU's drop score for the second round with a 32-over 104. She tied for 21st by carding a 50-over 194.
 
The Sea Gulls will play in their second two-day tournament in the span of a week at The Melee, hosted by Premier Collegiate Tournaments on Sunday and Monday at Ford's Colony Country Club in Williamsburg, Va.
