LOGAN TOWNSHIP, N.J. – The Salisbury University cross country programs traveled to Logan Township, N.J., to compete in the Rowan Border Battle against 35 other programs from the region and across the country. The Sea Gull men posted a 6th-place finish while the women earned 13
th.
The SU men tallied 168 points for their 6th-place finish on the 8k course, just one point behind Emory for 5
th and two points behind Messiah for 4
th. Carnegie Mellon won the event with 67 points while Swarthmore and Haverford rounded out the top three. The Sea Gull women posted 338 points in their 13th-place finish on the 6k course, just 47 points outside of the top 10. Carnegie Mellon also won the women's event with just 32 points.
Men Meet Notes
- Austen Cave led the way for the Sea Gull men, earning a 16th-place finish with a time of 25:08.8.
- Connor Kinch took home 30th with a time of 25:25.2, while Landon Lewicki placed 37th at 25:37.7.
- Tristan Dutton and Cormac Moroney rounded out the scoring for the Sea Gulls, placing 43rd and 46th. Dutton tallied a time of 25:43.5 for 43rd, while Moroney posted a time of 25:45.6 for his 46th-place finish.
- All five runners who scored for SU posted times under 26 minutes.
Women Meet Notes
- Anna Bodmer continues to shine for SU as she once again led the way, placing 13th with a time of 21:56.8.
- Madi Sisson earned a 65th-place finish with a time of 23:02.2.
- Earning an 81st-place finish was Leah Snyder, who posted a time of 23:27.2.
- Camryn Russum and Marisa Servis rounded out the scoring for SU, earning spots just outside the top-100. Russum placed 103rd with a time of 23:54.2, while Servis tallied 113th at 24:04.8.
This was the last tune-up for the Sea Gulls before they head to the Coast-to-Coast Conference Championships in Sunnyvale, Ca., hosted by UC Santa Cruz on Nov. 1
