SUNNYVALE, Ca. – The Salisbury University cross country programs headed to Sunnyvale, Ca., as UC Santa Cruz hosted the 2025 Coast-to-Coast Conference Championships. The Sea Gull men posted a 2
nd place finish while the women tallied 3
rd place.
The SU men posted a team score of 51 on the 8K course, which was 19 points better than 3rd-place Christopher Newport University. The host UC Santa Cruz won the event with 23 points. The Sea Gulls posted five All-Conference runners and five personal best times.
"The men went after it over the first 3 miles with UCSC and were leading at that point of the race, but faded over the last two miles to earn second," head coach
Jim Jones said. "It's the first time in a long time we had 5 in the top 15 to earn All Conference. Several men had personal records and were very proud of how they competed today as a team."
Men Meet Notes
- Austen Cave led the way in 5th place with a time of 25:03.0, which was a personal best and earned First Team All-Conference.
- Cormac Moroney placed 8th with a time of 25:09.2. He also earned First Team All-Conference and a personal record.
- Gabe Riling earned 11th place and Second Team All-Conference with a personal best time of 25:23.9.
- Earning 13th place was Seth Barron, who posted a personal best time of 25:28.2, which earned Second Team All-Conference honors.
- Tristan Dutton earned Second team All-Conference honors with a time of 25:29.1.
- Bradley Helman earned 22nd with a personal record time of 25:56.9, while Landon Lewicki rounded out the top 25 in 25th with a time of 26:03.1.
- Connor Kinch finished right behind him in 26th with a time of 26:06.4.
The Sea Gull women saw Anna Bodmer take home silver and earn All-Conference honors, with two other runners also posting personal bests. The women posted 70 points on the 6K for 3rd place, 27 points behind CNU in 2nd. UC Santa Cruz won the event with 26 points.
"The women also competed well with several personal records," Jones said. Anna ran a great race, battling for the individual championship, finishing second with a big personal record."
Women Meet Notes
- Bodmer posted a personal record time of 21:26.1 for 2nd place and First Team All Conference honors.
- Madi Sisson earned 17th with a time of 23:05.4.
- Leah Snyder tallied 20th with a time of 23:23.0.
- Camryn Russum posted a personal best time of 23:34.3, earning 24th.
- SU earned the 27th, 28th, and 29th spots with Marisa Servis, Madison McCurry, and Peri Nelson. Servis posted a time of 23:58.7 for 27th. McCurry posted a personal record time of 23:59.5 for 28th, and Nelson earned 29th at 24:01.5.
- Skylar Schrader posted a time of 24:48.4 for 34th.
The Sea Gulls will take select runners to compete in the NCAA Division III Mid- Atlantic Regional Championships in Newville, Pa. on November 15
th.
