SALISBURY, Md. – Three Salisbury University student-athletes cloaked themselves as Jersey Mike's A Sub Above Players of the Week with hardware from the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) and New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC).
Volleyball's
Gwen Eustace closed out the regular season with her league-leading fifth C2C Offensive Player of the Week award; women's basketball's
Keturah Stewart garnered C2C Player of the Week honors after her strong SU debut; and women's swimming's
Rowan Odonoghue continued a red-hot start to her collegiate career with a third NJAC Rookie of the Week honor in as many chances.
Gwen Eustace | C2C Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week | Eighth Career (Fifth This Season)
Middle blocker Eustace (Sr. – Olney, Md.) put up scintillating numbers in Salisbury's regular season finale at Stockton, going for a career-high 23 kills (4.60 K/S) at a .759 hitting percentage (one error, 29 attempts) to lead the Sea Gulls to their 12th straight victory in five sets. Eustace, the C2C's leader in total kills (383), is the most efficient attacker across all three NCAA divisions this season with a swing rate of .509; nobody else in Division I, II, or III is hitting north of .500.
Keturah Stewart | C2C Women's Basketball Player of the Week | First Career
Guard Stewart (Jr. – Bethlehem, Pa.) made a splash in the Sea Gulls' season-opening 68-48 win over Washington College on Saturday, netting a team-leading 19 points, including 7-of-8 from the free throw line, with four assists, two rebounds, and one steal. SU's 20-point margin of victory was its largest since besting Westminster (Pa.) by 23 points (68-45) on Dec. 30, 2024.
Rowan Odonoghue | NJAC Women's Swimming Rookie of the Week | Third Career (Third This Season)
Odonoghue (Fr. – Newark, Del.) captured four gold medals as part of a banner day to help the Sea Gulls bounce league rival TCNJ 204-58. Odonoghue took solo first-place times in the 100-yard freestyle (54.75) and 100 butterfly (1:00.90), in addition to swimming anchor in the victorious 200 medley relay (1:50.32) and third leg in the golden 400 free relay (3:43.51).
