Salisbury (17-2) secured the eighth-best metric for NCAA Tournament seeding purposes at 78.961, outclassing ninth-ranked Endicott (77.956) and coming in behind seventh-ranked Middlebury (80.410). In the final NFCHA poll of the regular season, SU slotted fifth.

With the SUNYAC's automatic bid in tow, SU qualified for its 31st consecutive NCAA Tournament (40th overall). The Sea Gulls will host Denison in first-round action on Wednesday at 4 p.m. inside Sea Gull Stadium; with a win, Salisbury would advance to face either Dickinson or St. Mary's (Md.) in the second round on Saturday in Newport News, Va.
