Football, Volleyball receive NCAA Tournament assignments

SALISBURY, Md. – Presenting Roadie Joes Rankings for the third Wednesday in November, featuring bracket selection rankings for Salisbury University football and volleyball and a new coaches' poll for men's and women's swimming.
 
Football – 13th | NCAA Power Index Ranking, Nov. 15
Salisbury (9-1) finished the regular season with an NPI metric of 68.616, sandwiched between 12th-ranked Hardin-Simmons (69.097) and 14th-ranked UW-Platteville (68.252). SU also placed 12th in the final D3football.com rankings before the postseason.
 
The Sea Gulls rebounded from their first loss by smashing Vermont State Castleton 63-13 at home on Friday night. Darrell Walter rushed for 74 yards and four first-half touchdowns en route to earning New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Offensive Player of the Week accolades.
 
Following a first-round bye, SU will begin NCAA Tournament play by hosting No. 15 Endicott in the second round on Saturday, Nov. 29. Kickoff from Sea Gull Stadium is locked in for 12 p.m.
 
Volleyball – 17th | NCAA Power Index Ranking, Nov. 16
Salisbury (28-6) finished up conference tournament play with a metric of 62.469, providing a buffer between longtime Michigan rivals in No. 16 Hope (62.536) and No. 18 Calvin (62.264). SU also received 108 votes in the final AVCA poll before the end of the season.
 
The Sea Gulls advanced to their fifth straight Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) Tournament championship over the past weekend, besting Mary Washington 3-0 in the semifinals before bowing to Christopher Newport 3-0 in the title match. Julie Altieri and Gwen Eustace were each named to the C2C All-Tournament Team.
 
SU is headed to Cambridge, Mass., for a first-round matchup with Colorado College on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. The winner will advance to play either No. 14 Trinity (Texas) or Manhattanville in the second round on Friday at 4:30 p.m., followed by the third round on Saturday at 5 p.m.
 
Men's Swimming – RV | CSCAA Division III Top 25, Nov. 2025
Salisbury (3-1) slid out of the top 25 but still received 10 votes, 14 shy of No. 25 Washington & Lee (24). SU also stands at 22nd (600.65) in the latest Swimcloud rankings.
 
The Sea Gulls picked up a key road win by defeating Swarthmore 169.5-92.5 on Saturday. Mason Potts won four gold medals on the day to capture his second NJAC Swimmer of the Week laurels of the year.
 
SU is set to defend its crown at the three-day Yellow Jacket Invitational, which opens on Friday at the Hampton Aquaplex in Hampton, Va.
 
Women's Swimming – RV | CSCAA Division III Top 25, Nov. 2025
Salisbury (3-1) posted the most votes of any non-top 25 program with four, just three back of No. 25 DePauw. SU matches that mark with a No. 26 (563.65) slot in the Swimcloud rankings.
 
The Sea Gulls suffered their first defeat of the season, falling at Swarthmore 164-98 on Saturday. Rowan Odonoghue still shined in the loss, medaling in four events and earning her fourth NJAC Rookie of the Week award in as many tries.
 
SU's early season reaches a climax with the three-day Yellow Jacket Invitational, beginning on Friday in Hampton, Va.
