Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Players of the Week | Nov. 17-23, 2025

SALISBURY, Md. – Three Salisbury University student-athletes reeled in Jersey Mike's A Sub Above Players of the Week with nods from the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC), as swimming's Mason Potts and Owen Mahoney swept the league's men's awards and Rowan O'Donoghue remained perfect in the women's rookie category.
 
Mason Potts | NJAC Men's Swimmer of the Week | Third Career (Third This Season)
Potts (So. – Landsdale, Pa.) – now a back-to-back NJAC Swimmer of the Week – led Salisbury with seven medals (five gold, one silver, one bronze), helping the Sea Gulls win their second straight Yellow Jacket Invitational over the weekend. Potts won his five golds in the 50 free (20.17), 100 fly (48.50), 400 free relay (2nd leg, 3:00.84), 200 medley relay (leadoff, 1:28.62), and 400 medley relay (leadoff, 3:16.35). Silver came in the 800 free relay (leadoff, 6:49.81), while bronze came from the 100 free (45.67).
 
Owen Mahoney | NJAC Men's Swimming Rookie of the Week | First Career
Mahoney (Fr. – Arnold, Md.) medaled three times and scored a team high-tying 62 points as part of Salisbury's dominant repeat at the Yellow Jacket Invitational. He won a pair of gold medals by touching first in the 500 free (4:32.96) and 1,650 free (15:58.96), as well as a bronze in the 200 free (1:41.00).
 
Rowan O'Donoghue | NJAC Women's Swimming Rookie of the Week | Fifth Career (Fifth This Season)
Odonoghue (Fr. – Newark, Del.) captured six gold medals and one silver to help the Sea Gulls roll to a championship in the Yellow Jacket Invitational. Her six gold medals came in the 100 free (51.95), 200 free (1:52.13), 500 free (5:00.23), 200 free relay (anchor, 1:36.14), 400 medley relay (anchor, 3:52.48), and 400 free relay (anchor, 3:31.75); silver came from the 200 medley relay (anchor, 1:46.84).
