Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Players of the Week | Nov. 10-16, 2025

SALISBURY, Md. – Three Salisbury University student-athletes reeled in Jersey Mike's A Sub Above Players of the Week with nods from the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC).
 
Football's Darrell Walter powered his way to NJAC Offensive Player of the Week, while men's swimming's Mason Potts secured Swimmer of the Week, and women's swimming's Rowan Odonoghue continued her spotless run with a fourth straight Rookie of the Week.
 
Darrell Walter | NJAC Football Offensive Player of the Week | First Career
Super back Walter (Jr. – Glen Burnie, Md.) found paydirt early and often in the Sea Gulls' 63-13 romp of Vermont State Castleton in Friday's regular season finale. Walter rushed for four first-half touchdowns, including three in the first quarter, finishing with 74 yards on 10 carries. Walter finished the regular season leading a run-heavy SU team with 655 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns, the latter of which ranked second in the NJAC
 
Mason Potts | NJAC Men's Swimmer of the Week | Second Career (Second This Season)
Potts (So. – Landsdale, Pa.) secured four gold medals and tied for a meet high with 18 points as the Sea Gulls took down Swarthmore on the road on Saturday. He took solo titles in both the 100-yard freestyle (46.68) and 100 backstroke (51.05), as well as leading off both the victorious 200 medley relay (1:32.02) and 200 free relay (1:24.22).
 
Rowan Odonoghue | NJAC Women's Swimming Rookie of the Week | Fourth Career (Fourth This Season)
Odonoghue (Fr. – Newark, Del.) medaled in four events during the Sea Gulls' dual meet at Swarthmore, including a solo gold in the 500 free (5:10.51) and bronze in the 200 free (1:56.76), in addition to a silver anchoring the 200 free relay (1:39.03) and bronze in the 200 medley relay (1:49.57).
