Men’s, Women’s Swimming hold top 20 positions entering winter break

SALISBURY, Md. – Presenting Roadie Joes Rankings for the second Wednesday in December, featuring top-20 markers for Salisbury men's and women's swimming at the midpoint of their seasons, and the final volleyball poll of the year.
 
Men's Swimming – 8th | Swimcloud Division III Dual Meet Team Rankings
Salisbury boasts a quality-of-swims metric of 680.10, just two point back of seventh-ranked Johns Hopkins (682.30) and two points up on ninth-ranked Calvin (678.35).
 
The Sea Gulls put up a good fight in a 159-103 defeat against Division I UMBC on Saturday. Owen Mahoney won his second New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Rookie of the Week award in as many swims, taking home gold medals in the 400 free and 800 free.
 
SU is finished with the 2025 portion of its schedule and opens the 2026 slate on Saturday, Jan. 17 at home against Franklin & Marshall. Following a Senior Day ceremony, the first event is set for 1 p.m.
 
Women's Swimming – 16th | Swimcloud Division III Dual Meet Team Rankings
Salisbury maintained a strong 628.85 quality-of-swims metric, taking up a slot between 15th-ranked Colby (632.20) and 17th-ranked Calvin (622.90).
 
The Sea Gulls saw their 17-dual meet home winning streak come to an end against Division I UMBC, 148-114, on Saturday. Isabelle Salvatore clocked in with a gold in the 100 back, silver in the 200 back, and third in the 200 medley relay to reel in NJAC Rookie of the Week.
 
SU returns from the winter hiatus on Saturday, Jan. 17 for its Senior Day meet against Franklin & Marshall at 1 p.m. inside Maggs Pool.

Volleyball - RV | AVCA/Taraflex Division III Final Rankings, Dec. 9
Salisbury (29-7) received 25 votes in the final coaches' poll of the season, tied with Lynchburg for a de facto No. 31 national ranking.

The Sea Gulls won an NCAA Tournament game for the third time in the past four years, dispatching Colorado College 3-2 in the first round before bowing out against Trinity (Texas) 3-0 in round two. Gwen Eustace and Julie Altieri earned AVCA All-Region honors, and Eustace became just the second player in SU history to make the All-America First Team.
