Women’s Lacrosse, Baseball, Men’s Lacrosse all boast top-five credentials

SALISBURY, Md. – Presenting Roadie Joes Rankings for the second Wednesday in March, featuring Salisbury women's lacrosse, baseball, men's lacrosse, men's track & field, men's swimming, and women's swimming.
 
Women's Lacrosse – 2nd | USA Lacrosse Magazine Division III Top 20, Mar. 9
Salisbury moved up one position in the media poll, leapfrogging Tufts for second while trailing only top-ranked Middlebury. SU also moved up one slot from fifth to fourth in this week's IWLCA rankings.
 
The Sea Gulls improved to 6-0 on the season with a pair of wins over the past week, outlasting Messiah 12-11 on the road on Wednesday and torching Shenandoah 18-6 at home on Saturday. Miranda Mears (Offense) and Regan McDonnell (Defense) gave the maroon and gold their second straight sweep of the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) awards.
 
SU faces another stiff home test on Wednesday as No. 5 Gettysburg comes to Sea Gull Stadium for a 3:30 p.m. draw control.
 
Baseball – 2nd | D3baseball.com/NCBWA Top 25, Mar. 10
Salisbury stayed pat at second with 550 points and three first-place votes, sitting behind newly-minted No. 1 Denison (578, nine first-place). Johns Hopkins (535), Belhaven (496), and Lynchburg (477) rounded out the top five.
 
The Sea Gulls went 3-1 on the week, taking a 20-6 victory at Virginia Wesleyan on Wednesday and sweeping a home doubleheader from North Carolina Wesleyan on Saturday before bowing at then-No. 5 Johns Hopkins on Sunday. Jackson Inman homered in three straight games over the weekend and posted a 1.571 OPS for the week.
 
After dropping an 8-7 decision to Messiah on Tuesday, SU will play three home games in three days over a three-day weekend, battling Centenary (N.J.) on Saturday at 11 a.m. and Oswego State at 2 p.m. on Sunday and Monday afternoon.
 
Men's Lacrosse – 5th | USILA Division III Top 20, Mar. 9
Salisbury returned into the top five in the coaches' poll with 434 points to stand between fourth-ranked Lynchburg (461) and sixth-ranked York (Pa.) [371]. SU also held onto fifth in the USA Lacrosse Magazine rolls.
 
The Sea Gulls bounced back with a 10-7 home dub over York on Saturday. Blake Malamphy secured USA Lacrosse Magazine National and Coastal Lacrosse Conference (CLC) Defensive Player of the Week honors after an impressive 17-of-20 performance on face-offs.
 
SU will play its only game of the week on Wednesday evening against Ohio Northern, with opening face-off from Sea Gull Stadium tabbed for 6 p.m.
 
Men's Indoor Track & Field – 16th | USTFCCCA Indoor Track & Field Rating Index, Mar. 10
Salisbury's 39.29 points in the coaches' metrics landed the team between No. 15 Bethel (Minn.) [41.41] and No. 17 Nebraska Wesleyan (38.45).
 
The Sea Gulls will send two men to compete in three events at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships on Friday and Saturday, with Kai Smith set for the 60 meters and 200 meters and Gavin Shaffer slated for the 60-meter hurdles. The SU women will also be represented by Marlyse Haack (triple jump) and Mia Hill (long jump).
 
Men's Swimming – 18th | CSCAA Division III Top 25, March (Final)
Salisbury held steady at No. 18 in the final coaches' poll of the 2025-26 season with 131 points, slotting between No. 17 Hope (141) and No. 19 Connecticut College (122).
 
The Sea Gulls will send six men to swim in three events at the NCAA Division III Championships on Mar. 18-21 in Indianapolis. Cameron Byrd will compete in the 100 butterfly, and SU quartets will be between the lanes for the 200 medley relay (Mason Potts, Dominic Kazzi, Michael Paulos, Michael DeSimone) and 400 medley relay (Potts, Kazzi, Byrd, Owen Brewer).
 
Women's Swimming – 20th | CSCAA Division III Top 25, March (Final)
Salisbury vaulted from 24th to 20th in the season finale rankings, reeling in 90 points to sit between No. 19 Gettysburg (104) and No. 21 Trinity (Texas) [59].
 
The Sea Gulls will be well-represented at the NCAA Championships with 10 athletes over 10 events. Individual qualifiers included Rowan O'Donoghue (100 free, 200 free, 500 free), Addi Wood (500 free, 1650 free), Maddie Powell (200 breast), Lily Griffin (100 fly), and Libby Miyashita (200 fly). SU will also send a trio of relay teams for the 400 medley relay (Isabelle Salvatore, Mackenzie Gula, Griffin, O'Donoghue), 400 free relay (Rachel Rickabaugh, Griffin, Alexa Hilty, O'Donoghue), and 800 free relay (O'Donoghue, Gula, Hilty, Jenna Krawlzik).
