Bill Whittington (Class of 2021)

Whittington was the prominent attacking presence for the Salisbury men's soccer team during one of the team's most successful runs. Whittington helped the Sea Gulls win three consecutive CAC Championships in 2002-04 and appear in four NCAA Tournaments, highlighted by a run to the NCAA Final Four in 2004.

In 2005, Whittington was honored as the CAC Player of the Year and as a second-team All-American by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (now the United Soccer Coaches). He was also named to the All-CAC teams twice with first-team laurels in 2005.

Whittington is tied for the single-game scoring record in an NCAA Division III Tournament game with four goals in Salisbury's 4-2 win over Stockton during the 2004 playoffs. At graduation, he ranked third in career goals (39, now fourth) and tied for fourth in career points (93, now tied for fifth).
