The latest inductee from a long line of SU multi-sport stars, Kyle Hamby excelled in pressure situations on both the gridiron and the diamond. In the fall he was one of the nation's elite punters, contributing to three Empire 8 Conference championships (2011-13), two NCAA Tournament berths, and two South Atlantic Bowl titles. Hamby finished his career as the Sea Gulls' leader in punting average (40.8) and still owns the record for the longest punt in school history (84 yards); he was recognized as Empire 8 Special Teams Player of the Year three times (2012-14), made three D3football.com All-Region First Teams, and earned D3football.com All-America laurels twice (2013-14).

In the spring Hamby made his bones as Salisbury's lockdown closer, graduating as the program's all-time leader in saves (15) while also ranking top-five in single-season saves (9) and both career (61) and single-season (24) appearances. An All-CAC Second-Teamer and Consensus All-Region performer in 2014, Hamby helped guide the Sea Gulls to three CAC titles (2012-14), four NCAA Tournaments, and back-to-back College World Series turns (2014-15).
