Eric Willey (Class of 2021)

Willey was one of the most dominant hurlers in SU baseball history. Willey received All-American recognition from both the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and D3baseball.com. In 2008, he was named to the D3baseball.com All-America Second Team and ABCA All-America Third Team. In 2009, he was tabbed for the ABCA All-America Second Team.

Willey also reeled in a plethora of regional awards from the ABCA during his career with the Sea Gulls. The 2009 ABCA Region Pitcher of the Year, Willey was a two-time ABCA All-Region First Team selection. He was also named the CAC Player of the Year in 2008 and All-CAC First Team honoree in 2008-09 with the team that won four consecutive CAC Championships with four NCAA Tournament appearances.

A regular in the pitching career record books, Willey graduated second in strikeouts (226, now third), second in saves (seven, now fifth), second in appearances (67), fourth in wins (24, now tied for seventh), fifth in games started (28, now tied for eighth), sixth in innings pitched (240, now ninth) and sixth in earned run average (2.41).
