Salisbury Athletics Hall of Fame
One of the most decorated athletes in Sea Gull history, Tavik owns two of Salisbury’s 24 individual NCAA national championships. She captured the 2012 indoor shot put championship with a distance of 14.29 meters (46-10.75), and she capped her career with a personal-best shot put mark of 15.32 meters (50-3.25) to win the 2013 outdoor crown. Tavik also finished as national shot put runner-up twice, earned five All-America nods, and qualified for nationals on seven occasions.
Tavik won 16 CAC gold medals across the indoor and outdoor seasons, sweeping all four outdoor throwing events in 2012 and 2013, and was named CAC Athlete of the Year five times. She helped the Sea Gulls win five CAC women’s team championships in her career, including the 2012 indoor crown and four straight outdoor titles (2010-2013). Tavik still owns six women’s throwing school records, holding the marks in indoor shot put and weight throw as well as outdoor shot put, discus throw, hammer throw, and javelin throw.
