Pat Lamboni (Class of 2021)

A legend in the athletic training field, Lamboni served as the head athletic trainer at SU for 39 years. Lamboni was no stranger to awards and accolades throughout his career. Lamboni was recognized in 2004 by the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) as a Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer. In 2005, Lamboni was part of the inaugural class of the Maryland Athletic Trainers Association Hall of Fame. In 2010, the NATA named him the Division III Head Athletic Trainer of the Year. The Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainers Association inducted Lamboni into its Hall of Fame in 2014.

A proud mentor to numerous students and professionals, Lamboni has helped many reach careers in the athletic training, sports medicine and rehabilitation fields. He has fostered students that have reached the highest level of the profession, including the NFL, the NHL and NCAA Division I.
