Brandon Fugett (Class of 2021)

Fugett dominated the throwing events during his time with the track & field team. Fugett won a national title in the shot put in back-to-back years at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field National Championships in 2009 and 2010. His performance at the 2010 outdoor championships helped Salisbury finish second at nationals as a team. A four-time All-American, Fugett was named the United State Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Mideast Region Field Athlete of the Year in 2010.

In the CAC, Fugett helped Salisbury continue a stretch of seven consecutive conference titles from 2004-10, including four in a row during his four-year career starting in 2007. He won eight CAC Championship with golds in the shot put, hammer and discus. He earned CAC Athlete of the Year honors after the 2009 season.

Fugett continues to hold the school shot put records in both indoor (57-0.75) and outdoor (58-10.25) events as well as the discus record (163-5).
