Delannie Spriggs (Class of 2020)

Spriggs was one of the nation's fastest sprinters during his collegiate career. Spriggs was the 2010 Indoor National Champion in the 55-meter dash with a winning time of 6.20 seconds, which is an all-time Division III record in the event and was the fastest time in the world in 2010. After the 2010 meet, Spriggs was named the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Male Indoor Track Athlete of the Year. He was a seven-time All-American with four outdoor honors and three indoor nods.

During his four-year career in a Salisbury uniform, the men's track & field squad was a dominant force in the CAC. The team finished second at the 2010 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, won a CAC championship in each of his four years while he individually won eight conference titles. In 2008, the CAC named Spriggs the CAC Athlete of the Year for his performance at the championship meet where he was the conference champion in the 100-meter dash and a member of the first-place 4x100-meter relay team. Spriggs also earned silver in the 200-meter dash at the CAC meet.

Along with the national record in the 55-meter dash, Spriggs still holds indoor school records in the 60- and 200-meter dashes and the outdoor record in the 100-meter dash. At graduation, Spriggs held the 4x100 and 4x400-meter relay records.
